Our Interaction Day with Noah Kai

Driving to the orphanage was a little surreal for us... kind of felt like a dream.  So hard to explain.  Shortly after we arrived, one of the social workers just brought him right out - we were caught by surprise when he just showed up with no warning!  I immediately got down on the ground to be on his level.  Eric started snapping pictures as fast as he could.  Noah was obviously very shy... and so was Zoe.  He seemed to be a little more comfortable with Eric at first.  Noah would not look me in the eyes at all (at first).  But after awhile, he seemed to become a bit more comfortable and I was able to hold him.  After a couple of hours he snuck in a few glances at me and by the end of our time with him, he even fed me a cracker.  Wow!  He did not cry the whole 3 hours that we spent with him.  We were allowed to spend the time with him in a toy room that was literally maybe 8 feet by 8 feet (super small) with no AC.  We then were allowed to go to a local park for about 40 minutes with a social worker.  He & Zoe had a lot of fun there.  Unfortunately... it appears that he is a little sick.  The translator tried to explain to me his symptoms being a fever and possible asthma?  He has a terrible cough... I am suspecting maybe bronchitis?  Supposedly tomorrow we will learn more about this and how to care for him.  But the social worker did make the comment "When you get back to the US, you must take him to a doctor immediately, you understand that right?"  Uh... Sure do!
